A revitalization project of downtown Sacramento consisting of a new sports arena for the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, a new 428,000 square foot 16-story mixed-use tower with retail and parking, a 195,000 square foot renovation and expansion of an outdoor retail and dining center, and a 51,000 square foot cinema remodel and expansion all connected by the Downtown Commons plaza.

The Tower will be comprised of 45,000 square feet of retail, 35,000 square feet of office space for the Kings, a 250-room Kimpton hotel, and 44 residential units. The outdoor retail and dining center forms a link between the historic old town part of Sacramento and downtown. The open plaza will provide space for pre- or post-

game events, outdoor performances, farmers’ markets and seasonal events.

All portions of the project required coordination and collaboration between multiple designers and contractors to ensure a successful and inviting space for the public.

Project Type: Mixed-Use

Status: Completed 2017
